0.0001 jog increment

Hi all,

I am planing on using UCCNC on a metal milling machine.
The current jog increment available in the interface would better suit a metal milling machine if the options wore:
0.0001 - 0.001 - 0.01 - 0.1 instead of the current:
0.001 - 0.01 - 0.1 - 1.0

How do I go about changing that?

Thanks!

There is a field for custom jog increment size, you can write in 0.0001 or whatever distance you need.

Yes I know but what if I want to modify the interface so that the the four buttons for jog scale have values as described. Can it be done? One inch increment is dangerous on such machine. Also, I need to be able to jog in 0.0001 increment with my MPG

No, it's not possible because there is no 0.0001 increment button.
The only way would be is to change the buttons and make one with a macro call and program the 0.0001 incremental movement in that macro.

Ok, thanks.

Could you consider adding a 0.0001 button? I think it would be worth the effort since most industrial milling machines jog with these increments.
Also, with your knowledge of the software, with a macro as you suggested, would it be possible to have the MPG jog at 0.0001?

Thanks!

I would also like to add to the request for this function to be included. UCCNC is a fantastic controller but maybe there is some reason beyond my understanding as to why this is not possible or is it just router oriented?

Agree strongly, I would like a .0001 button. The 1 button is completely useless in an inch based system. I could see it good for a mm based system. .0001" is often used for metal milling machines set in inches. I find myself typing in .0001 frequently in the text field for custom step amount.
