C76 (UC300ETH-5LPT) with Clearpaths, no response from motors

Postby rbmgf7 » Fri Feb 05, 2021 2:35 am

Got everything hooked up and started configuring to test movement.

Clearpaths are enabled and ready. C76 board via the C77 board has built in enable ports so no need to configure a enable pinout/port.

I go to setup in the software and test but don't get any movement on any axes. Standard setup pinout: Port 1. Pins 2/3 for X step/dir, 4/5, 6/7 for Y and Z, respectively.

Software says it's moving but nothing at the motors. C76 board is all green.

All limits are zero. Estop is configured and working. I tried the axis enable active high and low but nothing.

Sounds like you have a wiring problem, or a C76 setup problem.
Did you install the C76 plugins?

I too use Clearpath servos with the UC300ETH and they work beautifully. The nice thing about the Clearpaths they have have an LED on the top of them and if lit up orange then the motors are not enabled and as soon as UCCNC boots up and the flashing reset button is pressed they turn green. This is a great way to tell if you have the wiring correct. Once you have got green but no movement then you need to look further into the wiring as Ger says.
