hi all,
i want to cut out free hand some pieces in wood with the joystick of the xbox controller. to be able to fill these cutouts with a different wood i would like to save the coordinates from the hand cutting into a text file with x y coordinates or a dxf file.
it would be sufficent to save the coordinates about every 1/10th of a second.
is anybody aware of a plugin in uccnc which will do that or a macro?
can that be done and how?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
michael

Hi Michael,

I've finally pushed out v2.000 of ProbeIt here: http://www.forum.cncdrive.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2385&p=22397#p22397

Per your request, I've added the ability to record points/lines during free-jogging to DXF/CSV file, please give it a test :)

JogProbe w Trail.JPG

Check the box for 'Record Trail while Jog' and set the sampling distance (spacing between points to record), and turn on the JogProbe button and start driving around. Data will collect to DXF and CSV, and be visible in the viewer as you go.
