Hi all,
Can anyone inform me as to the function of the tool offset value in the Offsets tab. I am unclear about how it is used?
I currently have my tool height offsets recorded in the tools tab using a 1-2-3 block on the mill table and measuring the distance between the top of the 1-2-3 block and top of work piece as my Z offset for G54

If you apply a G43 or G44 (with H<toolnumber>) then it will offset your Z axis with the value in the tool table. See the Tools (3.11) section in the manual.
