Alternative to Fusion360 for probing?
Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2020 2:32 pmI just built a new 48x96 and wanted to probe the mdf bed end to end, to see if the frame needed tweaking.
I did get the probe to work. I would like to automatically probe the majority of the bed and save a point file.
Though not a Fusion wizard, I started to configure a probe design only to have my free Fusion popup a “insert cash” prompt. Seems they have certain features that are not free (like probing) and require one to purchase credits, 125 credits in this case which can be purchased in 100 credit blocks for $100 each; I would need to buy $200 worth of credits to access 125 credits for probing. These credits expire in one month.
Not slamming AutoDesk, that is their business model. I would just like to find another application to do this one-off task.
