screen 2017 as default

I have just installed uccnc and uc100,inatalled screen 2017, set 2017 as default screen in profile, when I start uccnc it starts with the dafault screen
I go into configuration -profiles select the profile(which I copied from the old computer when it shit it'self) load profile it comes up with this profile contains an different screen set, click ok
and uccnc runs in screen 2017, when I turn the computer off, the next time I start it, uccnc starts with the default screen again, did I miss something somewhere? any info would be appreciated greatly.

Assuming it's version 1.2047 or 1.2049, you need open the profile in notepad and change the screenset there. The 2017 manual shows how to do it.

Hi Gery, yes I followed the intructions and set it as 2017 in note pad, if I look in the profile it shows" mainscreenfilename = 2017"
so I am baffled.

Don't panic every one, problem solved, when I created the new profile it put a short cut on the desk top on the left hand side of the screen, the default short cut for the cnc with the default profile is in the middle of the screen,
I kept pressing the wrong short cut button ( I put it all down to old age creeping in )
