Rotate part.

Postby jjl » Thu Feb 06, 2020 11:53 am

Hi All.

Is it possible to rotate a part in UCCNC, let's say I want to rotate the part 90 degrees, and if so, how to do that ?

Thanks in advance.

Look up G68 in the UCCNC Manual.

Thank you Spuds.

But then I have to modify the g-code right ?
Yes it is a small modification but it is sure that I forget to delete it, and next time I wonder why the part is rotated :D

Have a nice weekend

No, not right. You do not have to modify the g-code. You can execute G68 from MDI if you want and then load the g-code file.

G68 is Modal, so even if you select it with MDI you have to cancel it with G69. ( I think )

Yes, plus there is an option though in the general settings to reset the G68 (G69) automatically on g-code file load.
You have to untick that checkbox to make my advice to work, otherwise that option will always do a G69 before loading the g-code file. It is a safety option.

Thanks for the advices, it will work for me.
But a button on the screen, that turns the part in steps of 90 deg. could be a nice thing :)

Thanks for your help.

You can create your own button on screen and the macros that go with them too
