Review my profile please

Postby gk285267 » Sat Oct 05, 2019 8:48 pm

I would really appreciate it if someone could have a look at my profile. I am using the same profile I used with mach3 for 11 years which worked when mach3 felt like it, except the port is now 2. Yes, the idc26 plug is in the UC300/eth port 2, The blue and green lights on the board are lit, the green and orange lights under the ethernet socket are lit, with the orange light flashing rapidly. The UCxxx utility verifies the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway are 10.10.10.11, 255.255.255.0 and 10.10.10.0, exactly as page 15 of the UC300ETH-5LPT ethernet motion controller user's guide.
The Diagnostics page is particularly bad: all the pins I want to use of all the ports are lit green, except Port 2. Any clues at all would help. Thus far I have not been able to get any motion whatsoever for a motor.

This is normal for unused inputs. The inputs are pulled up by resistors, so if you have nothing connected then they will be high.

I see no problem. Your controller is running in licensed mode which means it is connected to the motion controller and working without any problems, otherwise you would see "demo mode" in the top of the window.
The input LEDs indicate the voltage level of the digital inputs, they lit if the input is on high level and they not lit if the input is on low level.
On the UC300ETH-5LPT all inputs are pulled up with resistors to the internal 5Volts just like how it is with a printer port and so when nothing is connected to the inputs then the input LEDs lit, because they are on the high voltage level.

So how come my motors do not move? Where do I look to solve the problem?

The Axis setup pages, provided everything is wired correctly.

Especially check the step and direction and enable signals and also the charge pump if your controller needs that.
