AXBB/UCCNC Setup - Need help!

Hello all -

Need some help setting up UCCNC. Short background: I've been a mach 3 guy for 10 or so years. My old pc finally bit the dust, so I upgraded the entire control system and convert to uccnc. Windows 10, 64, AXBB, to a Gecko G540. For the life of my, I cannot get any motion from UCCNC. The axbb is set up properly on the pc side. Everything is a "go" on the board, and I'm able to run Mach without issue. I've set my ports and pins accordingly, but still no dice. X is 2/3 3/3, Y is 4/3 5/3, etc. I can't get charge pump or estop circuit to function in uccnc either (both work fine in mach). I ran the mach setup utility and it all integrated smoothly.

I'm running v 1.211, tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I imported my mach .xml successfully - still nothing. Mach 3 is seeing the AXBB, but it seems like UCCNC is not.

Is there something I'm missing? Is there an additional utility needed for the axbb? I know there were compatibility issues with older software versions, but I believe I have the latest.

I know it's a shot in the dark, but any info would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

After using Mach3, when you start UCCNC, it should detect the AXBB and update the firmware. Are you seeing the firmware update?
ANd is the blue light on the AXBB on?

What makes you think that the UCCNC is not seeing the AXBB? Do you have the blue LED on the AXBB on when you running hte UCCNC? If it is on then the UCCNC is seeing and using the AXBB without problems.
If the blue LED is not on then you are right, then the UCCNC is not using the AXBB for some reason.
Also a question is if you have a license key for the UCCNC for your AXBB? If you do not then don't expect that it will work, because then the UCCNC will run in demo mode only without a license key when it will only emulate things, then it will not connect to the AXBB. For a complete information about the UCCNC licensing please check point 1.6 of the UCCNC manual, it describes it in details.

Thank you both for the quick replies. Turns out, I’m an idiot - I still had it running in demo mode. Doh! Hours wasted racking my brain, and it was right there in the manual. Many thanks for the support!

I've searched past threads but haven't found anything detailing this exact issue, so apologies if this has been covered and I missed it.

Everything works wonderfully with the activated license in place...almost. Struggling with PWM issues now. Per the manual, I'm using AO1 and 5VO to feed my kblc spindle control board the 0-10v that it needs (this was done via the g540 previously). I'm only getting 2.5v between AO1 and 5VO at full duty cycle. This is proportionate to spindle speed and pwm settings, so that's functioning. The jumper is removed, and all power supplies are isolated and outputting proper voltage. I'm reading 5.0v on the dot on 5V+ (not sure if that matters). Spindle PWM ->analog ch is set to 1, and I've played with different pulley setups. Still only 0-2.5v variable. Any ideas?

I'm just a dumb mechanical engineer - electrons are dark magic to me :D .
