I just got my spindle set up today using the PWM settings in UCCNC to drive my Chinese VFD and 2.2Kw spindle.
I an eth300-UB1 controller/board creating the signals. It wasn't hard to get things running pretty smoothly. I did come across one thing though that I think could benefit UCCNC and I don't think it would be too hard to change the internal code to implement.
I noticed while tuning my spindle setting that the max an min PWM percentage settings were limited to full percentage values. While this got me really close (usually within 50-100 RPM of my target), if I had been able to select say 17.5% min PWM instead of 17% or 18% (and the same with the max) I probably would have been able to dial it in much closer.
I was using a 5vdc to 12vdc converter, so I needed to chop off the top of the PWM signal a bit.
Thanks!
