Hi Terry,

No, the 1.2048 is exactly the same as the 1.2047, the only differences are that the UCR201 USB drivers installer was added and the UCR201 plugin was added and the OSK plugin was updated.
Because the UCR201 pendant was released and the 1.2047 is now the latest stable release we updated that to let customers have the UCR201 plugin in the official version.

The difference is only the new UCR201 pendant and the update OSK plugin. The pendant is a new product that some people already purchased, so it must work with the latest stable release. The OSK was updated because of the new MDI input feature. (It works with both the 1.20xx versions and the new 1.21xx versions and can be downloaded from this forum.)

What is confusing is that you have a 1.2048 development release, and now a 1.2048 stable release which is a patched 1.2047 stable release.

Oops.... I lie.... Only 1.2047 development release
... 1.2048 was never release, there was a jump 1.210x

Every stable release borns as a test release. :) And new technologies get new numbering.

I think that this is just a special situation, to support the pendant, and the next full release will actually be the latest development release, and the numbering will be back to normal.

The development version is already in another number base.
The dev.version numbers are 1.21xx and the current stable releases are 1.20xx, so I don't see where the confusion comes from. :)
Also the stable releases are posted on our website and in the UCCNC changlelog thread of the forum while the test versions are posted in the test release thread.
And yes, all stable releases bornt as test releases.
The test releases are moved to the website and changelog when and if we think they are stable enough.

And Gerry is right that this stable release is a special case, because we wanted to add the pendant plugin to the latest stable version. Otherwise UCR201 users would continously ask for the plugin.
