Post anything you want to discuss with others about the software.

If the home switch is the same as the limit switch or they are separate switches but connected to the same input pin then the limit must be disabled while homing, otherwise the limit would trigger and the homing could never finish.
Are you sure your home and limit switch inputs are connected to separate input pins?

I understand if lim and home are the same, but when it is not a lim should always be a lim, right? I cant find any setting for this.

Yes I'm sure, my set up is:
port 1 pin 4 is x lim +/- in series
port 1 pin 5 is y lim +/- in series
port 1 pin 6 is z lim +/- in series

and these have all been made part of the safety circuit on the UB1.

The home switches are
port 1 pin 11, 12 & 13 for x,y,z.

If I trigger a lim during homing nothing happens. After homing they work just fine.

Sir, I have a similar problem. I don't like it. The sensors are working, the indicator light turns on when it blinks, I can see it both on the controller and in the software, but the axis continues to move. It won't get the command to go home and it won't roll back. It worked for me all the time until I turned on the fourth axis. It works fine in Mach4. Not in UCCNC.
Thanks

My limits are hardwired to estop into one input.
Then each home has its own input.
So using 4 inputs for 6 switches total.
If limit is hit it triggers estop so uccnc ignoring limit isn't an issue for me but cannot home with it setup this way.
You'll understand what I mean a bit in my explanation....

In fact I have an unusual setup. I have a switch at every end (6). 3 on the - are permanent limits. 3 on the + are both limit and home. All 6 are hardwired estop.
So:
Have the home switches going to relays and then to inputs. There is a switch bridging the relay outputs so that when in I position they are all hardware stop so homing not possible. (All 6 are hardware stop).
Put switch in O and they become software stop. Homing is now possible. (3- are hardware, 3+ are software) if it hits the - it estops, hits the + it homes.

If you catch my drift. Works for me. A lot of my circuits are still in bench testing but this design has Been working fine so far. Just need to check IO switch position.
