I was working on the probe 2 circuit when suddenly my RESET button tripped out and would not reset. After quite a bit of experimentation I found that if I removed the check mark for ACTIVE LOW on the E-STOP I/O setting then the problem went away. Everything worked as normal except:
1) When the RESET BUTTON is hit or tripped the servos do not power down as they did before this occurred.
2) The E-STOP LED on the DIAGNOSTIC page no longer lights up no matter what state the E-STOP circuit is in.
Other than that everything on the router seems to be working as it should.
There is a brake on my Z-axis servo but unplugging that servo completely has no effect on the problem.
I can live with this but it just seems strange as I wasn't doing anything to the E-STOP circuit. I do understand there is some relationship between the limit switches and the E-STOP but I haven't been able to see how that might be causing this issue. The two touch down probes on the machine (in series on PROBE 2 at PIN 10 - PORT 1) are working as they should including their built in low limit switches.
So bottom line it would seem that something might have happened to the probe circuit that is affecting the E-STOP circuitry. What though I can't figure out. My work around of unchecking ACTIVE LOW on the E-STOP is just a band aid fix. It makes the machine run but does not fix the underlying problem.
What I've just now thought to try is removing the PROBE 2 setting in the I/O settings and see what that does. I'll report back on that.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
