Setup_1.2113.exe - Downloads as a non-executable text file

Postby TheNigerian » Tue Aug 23, 2022 1:04 pm

Hello everyone.

I am trying to download and re-install the uccnc application from their website without success.

It downloads as a setup_1.2113.exe - a text file with an "exe" extension that Notepad opens.

And this only happens on my W10 DELL M68000 - from whence the original application was un-installed to allow me start all over.

I have it installed on a removable hard disk that I removed from another computer, but I am just curious about this downloading challenge. Is it something anyone else has experienced and perhaps solved?

Try renaming the file and removing the .txt extension.
This is an issue with your browser, possibly security settings?

Maybe try a different web browser? Does that work?
Also you can try to rename the file extension from .txt to .exe to see if it runs?
