Laser firing issues in CV mode on photo engraving

Good Evening.

Firstly the laser engrave plugin is awesome and works very well. However it is limited to only engraving one image.

However if I use Lightburn or aspire to create a whole design when I get to the dithered or greyscale image the laser will fire only a portion of the time or will stay on for a large portion of time.

I’ve managed to track this down to the CV mode.

It appears the trajectory planner is joining all the small movements to great a smooth fluid move and ignoring the M10Qxxx command

If I go to exact stop mode or change my look ahead lines to 1 or 2 it changes state on ever command. Problem is the constant stop start shakes the machine violently unless I turn my acceleration settings right down. But then I never achieve my required scan speed. A lot of the moves are .08mm

I assume the laserengrave plugin gets around this by by keeping the feed constant and firing the laser either by calculated time or coordinates.

Is there a work around for this or am I just doing something wrong?

Hi Jayp yes I agree the laser engrave plugin is awesome. Not sure if you are using the latest version of UCCNC but 1.2115 but there is a Lightburn plugin now and I have used this to and it correctly outputs M10 and the Q commands correctly.
