how to manually set machine coordinates to zero

Post anything you want to discuss with others about the software.

how to manually set machine coordinates to zero

Postby mschoonmaker » Sun Jan 05, 2020 6:53 pm

After moving my axes to the desired location, I'd LIKE to set the Machine Coordinates to ZERO as well as the work offset coordinates. Is there any way to do this?

ALSO... where do I find the PARK buttons? Nothing in the manual about this...

Assuming you don't have home switches, Home All, then Zero All.

Home All homes the machine, which zero's the Machine Coordinates.
Zero All sets work coordinates to zero, which zero's the offsets IF the machine coordinates are at zero.

Depending on which version of UCCNC, is there a P1 and P2 button?

P1 and P2 call macros m200 and m201.... So you need to set (edit) the coordinates within the macros where you want the machine to park when you press the screen buttons

Thanks!

And yes I did find P1 & P2, all threads mention PARK 1 and PARK 2, I should have considered the shorthand.

Hi guys, sorry to dig up an old thread but I thought I would tag onto this one.

I am setting up a new machine which currently does not have limit/homing switches installed. These are being sorted out but may take a few weeks to arrive.

So I am trying to setup my machine using the soft limits first, but when I move each axis to where I would like the machine coords. to be 0, I press Home All then Zero All, but it never actually zeros the machine coordinates. All it does is zero the work coordinates. It does not seem to matter where I move the axis to (within the softlimit range which are all 0 to 100).

Also my "write offset on homing (units)" are set to O and Auto Set is not checked on all.

I am pretty new to UCCNC so apologies in advance, cheers!

Machine details:
- AXBB-e
- UCCNC
- 450x450x220 work area
