change your minimum pwm setting - then re check and re adjust.
i got mine very close like this.
only annoying thing is seeing the vfd reporting a hz reading of 78 in my case when the spindle is off. ( spindle run command by m3)

I've got the:
PWM frequency(HZ) set to 100
PWM min. duty (%) set to 1 and Max (%)set to 100

I don't mind what shows on the VFD as it is shut away in a cabinet. Just getting close to the RPM would do me fine. Ill give playing around with the settings another try and see where I get. In the meantime I've uploaded the default profile which is what I think I'm using going by the file date and the fact I don't input anything else.

Cheers once more guys, it would be nice to get this sorted after about four years of trying.

Thanks! Battwell is right: set the minimum PWM % to where the spindle starts. Check the PRM and write it to the min. PRM field.

You have the RPM set 50 to 500 which is projected to 0 to 100%. If you have the min. values then set S5000 and check the real RPM. Write it to the max. RPM and you should be close to reality.

That’s it, I’ve done it. It’s within a couple of rpm and that’s excellent for me, can’t thank you guys enough - over the moon.

OK, so it seems I’m not quite there yet but close and a lot better than I was previously. I have my PWM duty % set to 0 and 100 and my Max and Min spindle speeds set to 300 and 5000 rpm. My VFD is configured so that I get 300 min and 5000 max and is within a couple of rpm’s or so. However, when I input S#2500 it is about 95 rpm shy of the figure. Is there any way of mapping the 0 - 10 v to the vfd output so I can get a better linear response or maybe there is some other way of achieving this in the software. Cheers again guys.

set pwm minimum to say 10% and re try. see if thats above or below the figure you need.

I’ll give it a go, however that was my starting point before my initial post. I have learned a lot since about both the software and the vfd so I might get different results this time. Thanks again for the advice, Mike.

A quick update on how things are going. I had a job to do this afternoon before I started playing around with the controller settings recommended by Battwell, however, for some odd reason the output matched the programmed speed so I have no idea what went on the other day when there was a discrepancy of 100 rpm. I hadn’t changed anything and all changes had been saved so I’ll see how things go. The machine is greatly improved with all the recommendations whatever the outcome so thanks for all the assistance.
