Encoder Inputs (axbb-e)

I want to take advantage of the ability to have a digital readout.

I have encoders A/B style.

It is my understand that each encoder requires Ain Aout Bin Bout data to the motion controller. TO me this seems like using up 2 of my isolated inputs (6 total).

I'd like to have one on my X and Y axis but cannot see using up 4 of my 6 isolated inputs.

How can I use the port 3 non-isolated inputs?

Also looking at the AUX encoder Settings screen I see A pin and A port and B pin and B port so I am assuming this means I can use the non-isolated inputs?
