Relay wiring and testing

Postby asuratman » Wed Aug 12, 2020 12:34 pm

I use 5V relay 1 chanel to control spindle on/off with connection as follow:

relay --- AXBBE
GND 0V
VCC 5V
IN O2 port #1

The output relay go to spindle through contactor.

The 0V and 5V are the one in between O9 -O17 in port #1.

I use UCCNC 1.2117 and AXBBE. I have configure the software on AXBBE. M3 relay on output pin #2 port #1.
Then I tried to test the relay connection to turn ON spindle by typing in MDI : M3 and M5. There is nothing on spindle, it did not make spindle ON.
Before I can do it easily on my UC300ETH to turn on/off my plasma. Is there something need to configure ?

Hi,
I can wired SSR to turn ON/OFF spindle using O2 and 24VDC as per drawing on manual AXBB-E. My spindle motor is 380V 3 phase and I use contactor wired to motor. Why I can not use a 5VDC single relay ? Is there anyway to wire this kind of relay ? I have no problem with SSR, but I am curious about this 5 VDC relay wiring. Thanks.
