Retrofit a Shopbot to UCCNC

Postby PillyWilly » Sun Mar 15, 2020 10:57 am

Hi

I have been given two "old" (2010) Alpha shopbots, they have been stored away for years in a container in the US, before being shipped to Denmark, they are not working as is, but I´m going to merge them into a single working one.
I have movement on the axies, but I do not like the control software, I´m used to UCCNC, and love it, so my question is, have anyone retrofitted a Alpha Shopbot to UCCNC, and if so, what is needed, and how is it done?

Regards

Just replace the shopbot controller with a UCCNC controller. The drives should accept step/dir signals like every other stepper drive.
