Digitizing with uccnc ?

Postby thegreatwaldo » Tue Feb 04, 2020 8:43 pm

I would like to know if it is possible to digitize (a guitar neck for example) with a probe in Uccnc and save it to an stl file or at least something similar.

Cheers,

An stl file is built from triangles, so ofcourse it is not possible to digitize and save it as stl as it would require further processing of the probed data about which the software has no idea how with what strategy and to what requirements to do it.
It is possible to digitize with a probe and to save it in a point cloud file. Check the M40 and M41 codes in the UCCNC manual.
