AXBB-E only out putting 2.1V on output, not 5V

Postby Nickschneiders » Sun Dec 08, 2019 9:15 pm

I have a problem getting my motors to react to UCCNC. It seems as though the board (AXBB-E is) only putting out 2.1V on the non-isolated outputs. Shouldn’t that be 5V?

Any ideas what might be causing it? I checked my power supplies and they are putting out 5V and 24V respectively. I am stumped

Explain how are you measuring that voltage? Between what points and what is connected to the output when you measuring that?

My first thought is that your measurement is wrong, 2.1Volts sounds like a LED diode's drop voltage, e.g. in the optocoupler of the drive.

I had the ground of the step and direction signal wired to the 24v power supply, not the 5V. Stupid mistake but now it’s all working.

Thank you for your help. Your comment actually made me realize what I should have seen earlier.

I am sure there will
Be more questions but for now i am good to go

Thank you again
