JSP mode and safe probe mode on probe screen

Postby dhanger » Wed Oct 30, 2019 4:07 pm

What is the difference between the two? With JSP I can verify that it will stop while jogging and pushing it with my finger--jogging stops. On the probing screen 'safe probe mode' does not work the same way, and the underlying button code between the two are different. What's the purpose for the probe screen button?

JSP is a function to probe with jog. You turn it on and probe with jogging the machine. If the probe touches then you can jog only to the opposite direction.

Safe probe mode is a function to save your probe. If it is on then if the machine moves and the probe touches then reset activates. (See M213 in the manual.)
