Powering a uc300eth

Can the uc300eth-5lpt be powered by the ucsb generated 5V.

It's likely it won't work properly.
The ports on the 5lpt prob won't 'register' correctly with breakout boards attached to it.
In other words, some circuits won't be completed.

It's designed the way it is for a reason.

Power the uc300 direct first, then use idc26 cable to get 5v to the ucsb via pin26.

You should not do that, because it bypasses the isolation of the UCSB breakout board.
You should use separate powersupplies.
