What Breakout Board do I need?

Postby originalsigns » Thu Jan 06, 2022 11:48 pm

I have a UC400ETH and a older version of UCCNC 1.2049 - My CNC is a 4x8 Blackfoot that I'm doing some upgrades to right now, I'm adding a 2,2KW Spindle with a VFD, I'm also adding a L-Cheapo Diode Laser https://www.robots-everywhere.com/store ... module-mk7
So - I need a new breakout board that I'll be able to control the Spindle & laser with the software. What do I need to make this happen and can you PLEASE provide a video link or Step by Step instructions to hooking all this up. Do I need a different version of UCCNC? What Laser software would you suggest? Thank you everyone!

Hi,

The UC400ETH has no analog output, so you need a breakout board which has a PWM to analog converter, unfortunately we not making that type of breakout board,
because the UC300ETH-5LPT has analog 0-10V output and you can use our UCSB or UCBB to control the digital things.

You could use a chinese BOB, there are several "generic chinese" breakout boards on the market which has PWM to analog converter onboard.
You could also add a UCSB breakout board on the second port if the BOB with the analog output has not enough I/Os for your machine.
