Defective UC300ETH-5LPT

Hi everyone,

I bought a UC300ETH a couple of months back and finally got my machine assembled and ready to go. I can't get any response from the ethernet port on the UC300ETH. The lights on the port itself never light up. I get a steady blinking green light on the UC300, but no response to the ethernet port. I have tested with two different PC's and an ethernet switch. I have used two different known good crossover cables and a few different straight through CAT6 cables. I have used two different 5v 2.1amp power supplies. I have reset the UC300 by holding down the button when applying power and it behaves as expected, both green and blue LED's blink rapidly for a few seconds, then solid. It just seems to me that the ethernet port is dead...does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks very much,
Bruce

If the light on thte ethernet port (green LED) not lighting when it is connected to the ethernet port of a computer with a cable and if the network card of the computer is OK,
then it is a hardware problem with the UC300ETH, it could be a damage of the ethernet magnetics or the ethernet IC, because the ethernet IC is sensing connectivity via the ethernet magnetics built into the RJ45 connector. And if there is a connection then the ethernet IC automatically switces the green LED in the RJ45 connector on.
So, then the signal is not reaching the ethernet IC or the ethernet IC is not working.
