How to reset DG4S-16035

Postby aldoo » Mon Sep 07, 2020 1:17 pm

Hi.
I am using SCHP signal (Safety Charge Pump) from Mach3 to reset and stop the DG4S-16035 driver, this driver is to spindle control with step/direction.
This signal turn on and off a transistor and then a 5VDC relay, I am using the NC contac to pull down the reset input of the driver. Some times this logic works but some time does not and the driver get "Servo limit reached error", the encoder is 500ppr, PID settigs is ok, the "Maximum error" is 2000

What could I do to solve this error?

Pulling the reset line low always resets the drive except if it faults with overcurrent.
Because overcurrent is a serious fault then resetting the drive is disabled to make the operator check the device first not just resetting it.
In case of all other faults the reset line is active and resets the device.
