I’m at the stage of hoarding components for a future build.
I don’t have a great deal of $$ to throw at the project at any one time, so when I see a bargain...
I got a flash sale on Amazon for the below PC ($89 I couldn’t pass up).
Mini PC, Intel Core i3-5005U Processor, RAM 8GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM, Intel HD Graphics 5500, 128GB SSD,
USB-C/HDMI/Mini DP Port, 3x USB 3.0, 2X 1G Ethernet Ports, Windows 10.
It seems to meet all the minimum requirements for UCCNC, but minimum specs often lead to performance issues later on.
I was thinking of maxing out the RAM (16GB), and assigning more to graphics.
I like having two ethernet ports so one can be solely for the AXBB-E and the other for LAN.
What are your thoughts/recommendations?... is this going to work well, or should I stack this away for some other use, and get something better?
