ENI-1024 Mag Encoder - Anyone work up an Enclosure?

Postby MattTheNoob » Sun Aug 02, 2020 1:30 am

I'm going to be mounting the ENI-1024 to the back side of my spindle motor (2hp TEFC), and this area gets splashed with coolant and chips, so I need a small box to protect the ENI circuitboard.

I've been poking around looking for the right size box (can't block too much air from the fan shroud), and suddenly realized that I can't be the first one to walk down this road.

So, if you're using and ENI and protecting it from a harsh environment, and your're willing to share a few photos of what you are using, or tell me what box you bought, I'd appreciate the input.

3d printed enclosure?

check out thingivese?

if you draw what you want in 3d, convert it to STL someone will make it for you.

I'll do it for you if you provide me with a sketch drawing, no problem

That's a great idea. This old brain still hasn't absorbed the fact that you can just make your own plastic parts now. I have a buddy nearby with a 3D printer, so I'll hit him up for it.

Thanks!
