Odd fault with DG4S-16035

This has happened a couple of times now. Z axis rapid and the drive faults. Rapidly flashing red LED and the green is off. According to the manual this is an encoder issue. Power cycling the drive to reset does not clear the error. If I let the drive sit powered down for 15-20 minutes and then power it up the fault condition is gone and the drive operates normally.

Yes, blinking red LED is encoder fault. The incoming encoder signals are not OK then.
You cannot reset that fault, it automatically clears as soon as the drive senses that the encoder operates normally, in other words when the encoder signals becomes OK.
