Baby-steps gurusonwheels...
Are you trying to understand and learn on your own as well? We're trying to point out how to look at the labels/manuals/online diagrams, interpret, and understand what everything means, as you'll be the one swapping wires and needing to know how this works. This will be something you need to understand, both so you can get it working and so you can fix it some day when it quits working
Look at the pic of your VFD w/ cover off. You have two '3-wire' sets going in there. Look at the labels, compare to the manual. You have:
Bundle 1: Analog speed control
Gnd: red wire, this is the ground for the analog voltage for controlling speed
A11: black wire, this must be the analog input voltage for controlling speed
10V: yellow wire, this is the +10v used for the analog speed signal
Bundle 2: Direction on/off control
X1: red wire, this is either CW or CCW
X2: black wire, this is likely either CCW or CW (ie, interchange w/ X1 for opposite direction)
COM: Yellow wire, the common for digital inputs to your VFD.
Chase all these wires to the other end on the board, I'll bet you see very similar labels describing what they signal wires are for.

Eric
