ABXX-E dead L4 diode

Postby bstivic » Sat May 04, 2024 12:44 pm

My ABXX-e board died?? after 5 days of use.
My board stop responding to network messages and disconnected from UCCNC while machine was idle for 40minutes.
It happened before that i get disconnected from UCCNC 3-4 times before on random probably due to laptop power saving mode.

-Tested another Pc on win 7 and 10
-crossover cable direct and via switch
-Tested utility software for finding board
-tested shutdown and holding 5sec reset button on power up
-disconnected everything from the board
-change another 5V power supply

AXBBe board is not showing signs of life except L4 diode always lit on power on.
No other LED-s light up on connecting via different CAT cables or reset button while connected to 5V.

Does this mean that board is dead? Why this happened?
What will happen to my UCCNC licence key if it is chained to hardware serial number?
How fast is warranty service to the board from CNCDrive? Board is bought in November 2023.

L4 is an overcurrent LED of the logic 5V power, so if that lights means that there a a short circuit on your board somewhere, or something which is connected to the AXBB-E is causing a short circuit.
