Modbus device

I have bought a modbus controller.

I have a YL620A FVD.
I can talk with it (MODBUS)
I c an start the spindle.
I can stop it too.
But sometimes i see that i skip a message (the text becomes red in modbus master).
And sometimes i see a disconnect when ramping up or down.
I shielded my modbus cable.
Next week i will get a shielded cable for inside my case for the uwv cable.
I placed ferritte around the uvw cables and the modbus cable.
I placed a filter before the VFD (10 cm cable length).
I connected spindle to ground.
I connected frame to ground.
I connected FVD to ground.

Thinking about also getting a extra usb isolator for it. Which one do you recommend ?
Maybe there is a better USB MODBUS device on the market that somebdy else is happy with already ?

Best would be to use ETH, not USB. Anyway, make sure that the shield is only connected at the PC side. Also, your problems may be caused by timing and configuration, not necessarily related to installation.

I would also check the connection at the YL620A, mine has come loose a couple of times until I hot glued it in place
