Defective UC400ETH

Postby joey81 » Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:25 am

Hi!

How do you get a UC400ETH fixed?

I have one that was bought 5 months ago but was only used now.

Upon power up, it turns on the spindle. Axes movement is rough, can't move fast else the steppers will stall. 8.5Nm NEMA34 stepper stalls when turning just the ball screw. And the M3 command makes the Z axis stepper motor scream.

The machine runs as normally when I use a known good (been using it for almost 2 years now) UC400ETH, so that rules out faulty software config.

I'm using UCCNC. Already tried both the latest release version and the latest beta version. Same result.

In the last 2 years have installed maybe around 10 units of UC400ETH. This is the first time I encountered a misbehaving unit.

I hope someone can help me.
