Hello,
it's been a while since i've written in the forum. There's been a rather busy period at work. I made a prototype of wireless pendant for UCCNC. It's in testing phase, but for now it works very well. Need more testing and have to add emergency stop. One of the futures of the pendant is that you can add any button from the UCCNC screenset to the touchscreen display of the device via the plugin settings. Can be added more pages on the display.
Sorry for the quality of the photos. Any suggestions are welcome.

Very nice. Do not call that button e-stop if it is controlled by the PC. Just call it stop, or feedhold, or pause.

Thanks to Arturo and Carboncnc for appreciating my project. Arturo the e-stop is not handled by the pc.

The pendant looks good. Maybe a setting for the size of the screen buttons, some people like me have big fingers. Maybe the button changing colour when pressed would be useful.
Cheers

Great design. I kind of prefer the idea of a touch screen in favor of a bunch of physical buttons. Mostly because it's hard to get the layout right without a ton of prototyping and requires extra hardware to connect so many buttons to a micro controller.
I'd probably want a cycle start, feed hold and cycle stop as color coded physical buttons though.
The UI on the screen looks really clean and professional.
What sort of hardware is powering this? Custom pcb or off the shelf components? Screen size? Capacitive vs resistive?
How does it communicate with UCCNC? Could it be made to work even if UCCNC is in the background or in the front but not in focus?

Is this just a hobby or do you plan on making this a commercial product? Do you see potential in this?

Thanks for appreciating the project. The touchscreen is resistive 3.5". I was thinking of using bigger one, but i had the 3.5" so i use it. The pcb is custom made and the pendant is based on STM32. I don't think to make it a commercial product.
