hello eric,
i wanted to use your plugin, however it does not show up in the configure plugin screen in uccnc.
i tried it on 2 computers, both are running windows 7 64bit with uccnc 1.2111. i put the xbox.dll and xbox.xml in the uccnc/plugin folder and the x64 slimdx.dll in the uccnc folder.
i also tried installing the slimdx.msi on both computers, no luck.

is anybody else having these issues or can someone help dissolve the issue?
thanks,
michael

Hi Michael,

when you say you tried to install the slimdx.msi, do you mean you installed the SlimDX SDK: http://www.craftycnc.com/download/585/

If you haven't, please try restarting your PC since installing the SDK. Let me know how that works out and we'll go from there.

Eric

Hi andreiir,

I assume you are referring to the cross-shaped DPad buttons, correct? I'll make note to look at making those programmable for a future revision.

Whoops, I actually forgot I already made the dpad and shoulders programmable as an option.

You need to check the 'customize dpad/shoulder' checkbox, then enter in the code numbers for the events you want to happen (hint, use the 'show button code help file' to pull up the list)

can't remember what I've forgotten some days....

Hello Eric.... continuing here as u said.... the xbox plugin simply doesn't work to me.... the statut bar shows a "loop fault" message... i have try to install the additional file u gave but with no success... the plugin doesn't react neither the wired controller nor the wireless... no reaction from the plug in or from uccnc with or without enable joging checked...

Hi Sylvain,

Did you install the slimDX SDK from here (copy pasting from an earlier post):

I must now (again) recommend if you are installing the XBox Plugin for the first time, install the SlimDX SDK too....
Link to SlimDX 2012 SDK: http://www.craftycnc.com/download/585/

and reboot after?

It sounds like you're at that point where everything is installed, except for the background directX stuff that the above link provides.

thx for your answer..... at first i installed it with the link provided under the xbox plugin link in your site, as i saw u recommanded to install it... then i saw this forum and i have installed the one i saw, and finally so i took the one u just gave me (even if i assume this is the same as this is the same link)... uninstalled, reinstalled it and reboot... and it's the same with same "loop fault" message...

also something, when i click to uncheck the "enable joging" case, i have an error message: "unhandled exception has occurred in your application. if u click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.if u click quit, the application will quit immediately"

Does your controller show up as an installed 'xbox' controller under windows hardware list? (not as a generic control or gamepad, but does it look like an xbox control?)

Yes, if the plugin shows a fault that it can't connect to the controller, trying to enable it further will cause problems. :)

the 3 are recognised as:
- Xbox360 controller for windows
-Xbox360 Wireless receiver for windows
-Xbox 360 Wireless controller
and btw they are effective in windows to move selections...
i have try it with one connected... then the other... then the 2 of them ...
