Let me start by saying that I have absolutely nothing against PC’s.
I am making this suggestion simply because there are 5 Mac computers in my house.
I am more used to Macs and it’s just nice when a software is available for your computer.

It was easy to find an old PC and dedicate it to UCCNC and it works great. It’s just a cumfort thing.

No, it is not guaranteed that any Windows emulators will work, because most of these like Parallels have bugs in the OpenGL implementations and so the UCCNC GUI may not appear properly.
We saw it at a few customers, but we do not have MACs and so we can't check or test to see what exact OpenGL functions work incorrectly.
So at current time using MACs with Windows emulators is not supported, you should use a native Windows installation on a PC, a desktop, a laptop or tablet which fits the minimum requirements of the UCCNC which is desribed in the UCCNC manual.

And there is no native OSX version of the UCCNC, because that would require a different code base of the software.
We have long term plans to make the UCCNC platform independent and then it could work on both OSX and Linux, but this is yet just a plan which may or may not happen in the future, I can't promise yet.

And BTW, out of curiosity why would anyone using a MAC to control a CNC? I mean it is far too expensive to get it dirty and full of chips etc. when using the CNC machine. A suitable PC is far cheaper.

Hehe! My current homemade CNC is actually running on a Mac!
It has an Arduino Uno has a controller with GRBL installed and BCNC is the software on the Mac. It is written in python I believe.

Having a Mac controlling the CNC make’s it easy to access my other Macs on the network and maybe tweek the cad model and repost the Gcode using screen sharing strait from the shop etc...

But has I said, it’s really a “comfort” thing! I am no good with Windows! I get impatient because I don’t know where things are but I’ll get used to it!

I see more and more people using Macs. They are good reliable and stable machines and I am sure that UCCNC would look terrific on it! Hahaha!
