Home from work and took another look. The problem with plugin I uploaded/macro was it woudn't start on first button press. I adjusted the macro to work.

Dezsoe provided a great solution thats very universal and editable. I just hate posting/uploading anything that I know is not 100%. Anyone that just wants to just turn port1 pin1 on/off with reset on here you go.

create a toggle button and give it button # 22222

Good work to both of you, suggest maybe posting it in the toolbox thread as a central quick find location instead of leaving it languishing in an obscure titled thread forgotten about in a few weeks or months

Hey Chris,
Were you able to sort out your problems and get either one of these solutions to work for you?

And update could help another with your similar needs doing a search.

Dan -

I haven't had a chance to try it since I messaged you. I wanted to cut in my vacuum grid into my table before I took the chance of introducing a problem that might keep me down for awhile. I got that task done a couple days ago but work has used up my time since then. That, and there's been a cold snap here that saps my motivation to go out to my unheated work area. I'll try to simulate it again on my benchtop computer tonight. As soon as I have a result I'll post it here.

Thanks. I was actually more curious than anything else. I loaded on 3 different setups and installed without a glitch.

Well, I made some progress. I was able to get Dezsoe's method to work in simulation. I tried it on the machine and it didnt work. But I was rushed and frustrated and most likely overlooked something simple. Will try again tomorrow when I have more time. Dan911, I still havent been able to get your's working yet.

Dan - I cannot get it to work in simulation. One thing thats different from Dezsoe's method is the LED on my button using your plugin does not light up when pressed. The only difference between the two is the button number, 22222 yours, 5400 for Dezsoe's. ANy ideas??

Not really, not sure what you mean button won't light up. I am baffled since I loaded this multiple times on different set ups with no trouble. The only thing I can think of is to check you don't have a macro 22222 in your macro folder.

When creating button press apply settings than click on "file" in top right corner and than press Save Screenset

That's how I've been doing it. Thanks for the confirmation, it helps. I'm using picture number 2 for my button (the home axis button) I'm sure theres better options but for now, I'll try to get it to work then optimize it later. I verified that I dont have any other Macro named M22222. Also, is there supposed to be a Macro called M22222? Because its not in the Macro folder for my profile?

Dezsoe and I are using the same method to avoid Estop, just with different approaches. To put it simply he sending macro to plugin (makes it editable) and I written macro into plugin. I'm clueless why 1 will work and not the other. Hopefully Dezsoe could shed some light.

Since you got Dezsoe's method working, and IMO is the better method since it's editable you should be good to go.
