Hire help for wheel dress macro

Postby ADuarte » Mon May 16, 2022 2:38 pm

Help. I have a customer with a 3-axis grinder with UCCNC. The X axis is back and forth. The Y axis is up and down and the Z axis is in and out. The customer wants to dress a stone wheel .0005 in the Y and Z axis after every 2 parts. The G55 (G55-G59) part zero position would then be updated in Y and Z.

I have done very minor work on macros, but this is way over my head. I would love to hire someone if that is allowed on this forum. Please let me know if this is something you can do, an what you would charge.

Thanks.

I have written a program using variables that does what I want and now need to know how to read and update the values in G55 (or 56-59) for the X, Y, and Z axes. I would like to go to a position, dress the wheel, and then subtract the wheel dress amount from the value in the G55 X, Y, or Z axis and have the G55 new values saved. Any help would be appreciated.
