AXBB w/12V MPG

Postby RWC » Sat Mar 30, 2019 4:09 am

Hi again :) One more and I'm done for a while (my wife insists ;) you might too ! :D
AXBB , I hooked up my MPG per the sketch, finally figured it all out and it works nicely :)

I was a bit confused by what is referred to as a "tic" in the manual.
In order for the MPG to read correctly with the dro, I had to put 4 for the Prescale value. This made sense to me as it is a quadrature signal requiring 4 tics, or changes of state.

Then later in another description, "tic" seems to be referring to the actual detent, or graduation on the dial ... in of which there are 4 little "tics".

This will come in quite handily when I get it on my machine, thank you ;)

Macros are a struggle for me, but how can I get an additional button/selection to set .0001 as another increment ? I could do without the 1.000 Maybe replace it with .0001 ?
Thanks,
Russ :)

Here's the macro:

AS3jog.Setfield(.0001, 2027);
AS3jog.Validatefield(2027);

Save it as M20001.txt in your macro_profilename folder

Use the screen editor to change the button of the 1.00 button from 166 to 20001.

If you've never used the screen editor.
1) Config > General Config > Edit Screen. Move the editor window to the middle or right side of the screen.
2) While holding Shift, click the Run tab to get back to the main screen. (When you save the screen later, the page that's currently open will be the startup page. This takes care of that)
3) Open the jog flyout, and click the 1.00 button.
4) In the editor, from the Selection tab, change the buttonnumber from 166 to 20001. Click Apply Settings in the Editor.
5) Change to the File tab in the Editor, and click Save Screen.

Gerry - will this macro work with HB04 pendant the same way.
I'd like to be able to indicate a hole with resolution better than .001"

It's just a screen button, and has nothing to do with the pendant. SO it will work with any pendant.
