No problem! :) More than two years ago we had a longer discussion with Balázs on the sticky parameters, and I remembered that sentence, that's why it was funny for me.

I think since Dezsoe pointed out this is listed in NIST it will be changed.

Yes, that's good info. So, we will change the R to sticky or modal or whatever we call it. :)

I know this is an old thread but this issue is not making me very happy and wondered if anything came of it. A while back I converted from LinuxCNC to UCCNC (v1.2112) and noticed that in G98 mode with R value it no longer worked the same way, that is I am having the same problem that others have noted that after the first drill the following holes before G80 would feed from safe Z, not R value. I get from the thread that it was never determined from NIST documents how it should behave, but having run several other industrial controls as well I have never seen anything other than R value being 'sticky' or modal in G98. So what's up with this, anything?
