AXBB-E Intermittent Etherent Connectivity Issues

Postby eazyE7463 » Thu May 15, 2025 3:56 am

I have been using the AXBB-E controller. It's been working for years (on & off ... for hobby use). However, it's now starting to have issues. I get an error that the "application has lost connection". This was periodic, and reboots/retries/etc. would "eventually" fix it. Now it is consistent. I cannot get into the application to run my mill.

I see it in the UCxxx utility. It passes the "test connection". I tried a new crossover cable.

Any suggestions? Do I just need to get a new AXBB-E? Maybe EOL?

Thanks! I appreciate any feedback/suggestions.

Erik

Please verify that the 24Volts powersupply is OK?
Maybe it drops output voltage in spikes, that could cause lost connections.
Also verify that your computer is not overloaded, check the latency graph in the Statistics, it should not go above 20msec.
Also check your computer's CPU and memory usages, if it is too high and if the UCCNC has no resources to work with can also cause lost connections.

Thanks for the input! 24V looks OK on a voltmeter. I will check with an o-scope this weekend. I will also look at the CPU/computer performance.
