where to find the Pokeys plugin for Pokeys57CNC-board

Postby msh1 » Mon Sep 16, 2024 1:14 pm

Hi,

Does UCCNC fit on the Pokeys57CNC-board?
If yes, where to find the plugin?
Is it the same plugin as used for MACH3?

Thanks.

UCCNC works only with the motion controllers which we develop and manufacture, it does not work with Pokeys boards.

Hi,

That is bad news for me. :(
I have to rebuild my hardware, when using UCCNC SW.

ChatGPT thought It would fit. But 'cncdrive' is the expert.

What cncdrive board should I order as a replacement for the Pokeys57CNC?

regards msh1.

(ChatGPT)

UCCNC software is designed to work specifically with motion controllers produced by CNCdrive, the company that developed the software.
It is compatible with controllers such as the UC100, UC300, UC400ETH, and AXBB-E.
Each software license is tied to the serial number of one of these motion controllers, meaning you cannot use UCCNC with hardware from other manufacturers
without one of these supported controllers(CNC Drive)(CNC4PC).

This proprietary design ensures tight integration between the software and hardware, allowing for optimized performance and functionality like high-speed machining, multi-axis control, and specialized plugins.

(msh1) Has anybody else other suggestions or experiences?

ChatGTP's answer is all correct.

You could use the motion controllers ChatGTP mentioned, just be aware that some of our motion controllers are being copied by Chinese companies and those do not work with the UCCNC software.
My advice is to purchase in our webshop at shop.cncdrive.com or in one of our distributor shops: https://cncdrive.com/distributors.html
