Actually there is one under the axis tabs. But that one is at 1000.
So it can not be that one.
I changed it to 10 but then the machine makes minimini steps.

Actually there is a field under the axis tabs. Its at 1000 now.
Just to test I put it at 10. Then it made miminini steps.
What you think?

1000/2.5 = 400 on my calculator....

400 would align with a direct driven ball screw with a 5mm pitch driven by a common 200 step per revolution stepper motor with the drive set with 10 micro steps setting

200steps per rev X 10uSteps /5mm

Robert
I do now understand. You helped a lot and with understandable input. You understand that software and the relations quite well.

In my mind, I thought 1 unit would always be 1mm as UCCNC is in MM. I did not think about those different setups around in the world which UCCNC needs to address.
That is the reason I did not make the connection on the 1000/2.5. I feel bit stupid now but happy :-)

UCCNC must have an Mill setup with an ball screw size where 1 unit is 1mm as a standard. And every other must be scaled up or down to get 1mm per unit.

I understand now.

You were of great help Robert. So thank you very much!
