That plugin and the SlimDX is for .Net4, UCCNC 1.20xx is compiled to .Net2, so they are not compatible.

Ok, I get it, I think :D

I will try the plugin compiled with .net 2.0 ( XBoxPlugin-CraftyCNC v1.0004 - 9-18-17.zip ) and just install https://storage.googleapis.com/google-code-archive-downloads/v2/code.google.com/slimdx/SlimDX%20SDK%20(January%202012).msi it said 2.0

Just an FYI,

I picked up a few 'cheap' xbox knockoff controllers from Amazon to test and play with, one wired and one wireless. Both were branded 'Easy SMX'. Both work great with no problem connecting and behaving as an XBox controller. Based on playing with them, I think any controller (wired or wireless) that follows the 'XInput' standard will work fine. Testing was done w/ Windows 7 and UCCNC 2106 and the XBox plugin (v1.0010 - 5-20-18).

Other than seeming a little cheaper in material/feel, they work just as good as the real xbox controller. I picked both of these up for less than one wired actual XBox controller. Time will tell if they last...

regards,
Eric

hello,
thanks for the nice plugin. i have one problem. my x and y axis should move in the opposite direction as it does now. my table moves to the right when i push the handle to the left.
if i change the direction in the axis setup page, my dro moves not according to the coordinate system of the machine.
is there a way to change direction in the plugin that i missed?
thanks,
michael

Hi Michael,

the sticks are setup such that left/down is a negative movement, and right/up is positive with respect to the coordinate systems and the DROs.

I assume by your description that you are on a machine with fixed spindle and moving table, like a knee mill. If so, the movements are correct, moving the stick left moves the table right, so as to make it appear like the spindle is moving left (in negative X). Is that correct?

I know it looks weird, its hard for me to get used to jumping back and forth between my router table and mill, but it is programmed the way it should be, to move the tool in the proper directions with respect to the coordinate system.

regards
Eric

hello eric,
yes i have a kneemill style zx45. before i used mach3 and with the xbox plugin from mach3 you could change direction in the plugin.
so i growed accoustomed to the in my feel right directions and dont want to unlearn this habit with the help of crashing tools because i used the wrong direction

so there is no way to change that in the plugin?

thanks,
michael

Michael,
Sorry, at the present time that can't be reversed in the current plugin version. I can put it on the to-do list for later implementation.

Eric
