Toolpath Viewer - jog follow? Other options?

Postby ctbjdm » Tue Sep 04, 2018 12:04 am

Hi there,

New to UCCNC from an Ethernet Smooth Stepper (ESS) and Mach3. Really like it so far.

I have a couple problems/questions with the Toolpath Viewer:

1) Is there a Jog Follow option like from Mach3? I.e. the Toolpath Viewer automatically follows the tool location?
2) I use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Zooming in works fine / as expected. Zooming out however is weird - one wheel 'click' out and the image zooms WAY out (not one step like it does when I zoom in). I have tested the mouse wheel in other apps and it seems to work fine - one wheel 'click' moves both in and out as expected.

1.) On the left side of the toolpath there is an icon for jog-follow mode.
2.) The toolpath zooms the same amount in and out per mouse wheel tick. I've just tested it and it works fine here.

Was this changed at some point recently?
I recall always seeing something similar to what the OP mentioned, but I just checked, and it seems to work fine in 1.2106.

I don't remember now, but I have checked the current official release 1.2048 and the current test release 1.2106 and both work fine at me.

To zoom fine, press and hold middle button and move the mouse.

The zoom steps depend on the mouse and/or its driver. The worst case is a touch screen: scroll makes too large steps, but the + and - buttons make very little... :)
