Yes, compression is adviced to be used, because many people trying to run the software on ancient hardware and without compression at all the required grapics card memory size is factors (about 6-8 times larger with the default screen) larger than with compression.

Take a screenshot of your screen with UCCNC maximized, and email it to cncwoodworker at comcast.net

I see 1366 x 743. But I also see a 2 pixel row at the bottom, as if UCCNC was not maximized? So it may be 1366 x 745?

Thanks Gerry. You're right, i did a mistake on the pixel count of the title bar. The size is 1366/745.

Some updates. UCCNC is maximized. I tried on different computers and the result is the same (two rows of pixels at the bottom). The two rows are from the windows task bar. I think is normal and windows use these two row to activate the task bar on mouse event.

I don't see the 2 pixel band on my PC's. Both are running at 1920x1080.
If UCCNC is indeed maximized, then I would make the background 743 pixels high.

kig23 wrote:The problem was the task bar. Thanks Gerry. But there is pixelate part close to the writing "Start".
I think pixelation can be caused by the software you are using to create the button images. I don't know which software you are using, I use Photoshop CS which is a professional imaging software but there are probably also cheaper, perhaps also freeware which can be used. I remember that I tried Windows Paint but had pixelation issues just like you. Try Gimp which is free, if you don't have anything else.
