Enclosure open as I was doing a rebuilt of the lathe knives. Continuous turn functionality from the little controller on the table right of the screen. Yaskawa servos on YZA (the important ones), cheap steppers cover elsewhere. Black parts in the photo (orange in model) are 3d printed, if they need to be strong they are printed as shells and filled with epoxy granite. All other parts milled on my 1st CNC machine. MDF is a PITA to work with, but most the important parts here were milled rough, soaked in epoxy, and then finished. In retrospect I should have just found a better material .

Crazy amount of work in this!! But it works.... very well :D

what are the 2 pointy black boxes on top?

i almost finished converting a very heavy copy lathe to similar spec usage.
annoyingly another machine came in and blocked the space right in front of it for the last 6 years.
