Also, I'd disable the pre-complie macro option. You really won't notice any difference in operation, and the screen will load a lot faster.

2017 Screenset
Plugin enabled - no message box
Plugin disabled - message box pops up.

Default screenset
Plugin enabled - no message box
Plugin disabled - message box pops up.

Added same message box to the destructor macro and same results on closing UCCNC.

So that would confirm that the plugin is keeping the Constructor macro from running.

VistaCNC has posted an updated plugin that is supposed to fix the G91 issue. I'll try it out tomorrow.

I've reported the problem with the constructor macro and directed them to this forum thread.

They have very politely declined to share the source code.

Not surprised VisaCNC won't release the source code to prevent it being pirated by the Chinese. Look what happened to Mach 3.

No offence by that, you can only ask.... Also it does depend on whether they are interested in keeping it maintained code and sorted out with any development work or bugs etc.

Some companies make their money in hardware sales and selling something physical but will provide you with all the assistance possible for you to develop things. Others will try to micromanage and do everything in house

99% of their customers want a working product out of the box. That requires them to provide both hardware and software. I wouldn't call it micromanaging.

I don't think it's a question of micromanaging. In my experience it's not uncommon for companies to not release source code not only to prevent pirating but for liability reasons. UCCNC markets both hardware and software would they be willing to release their code? Just saying...

In my opinion there was and always will be a contrary between open and closed source software and hardware producers and products.
I think the 2 sides could argue all day long, but will never fully agree the other party and this is mostly because the basic motivations are different.

I understand VistaCNC that they don't want to share their code.
Nowadays when Chinese copying basicly everything even that little information might be enough for copies to show up quickly flooding the market.

I was only talking about the plugin code, nothing to do with source code for the microcontroller.

An alternative could be to provide the video and PID and the usb datastrings

Think of the pendant as a device similar to a modbus device... If you have the registers you can connect to it to use its full functionality. Why would this full connection information not be viable to provide?

Liability has zero to do with it.... In this realm of DIY, plugins macros etc you have no hope of winning a liability case.
