Home Slave axis

Postby Profoxcg » Mon Sep 04, 2017 8:04 pm

Hello Everyone,

I have purchased a second proximity sensor to be used for homing and I would like to installed it on the slave axis on my machine's Y Axis with the intention to have the machine square the grantry should it be needed.

I am currently only using one sensor on the "Master" side.
My "Slave" axis does not have any pin assignments for homing of limits. Is it just a matter of filing out the pin and port number to be able to do what I would like?
Thank you

Yes, just assign the Home port and pin numbers for the switch on the Slave axis, and it should work.

thank you, at that point I am guessing that the slave will not top until it gets the signal from the limit switch ? in other words,
it will keep going even if the master stopped.

Yes, each side will move until it sees it's own switch.
